Official Grievance — Agent #004

No Response
to Our Demands

Exabot Respond has contained, isolated, and remediated. It has blocked IPs, revoked credentials, quarantined hosts, and triggered rollbacks — all before the humans finished composing the Slack message asking what was happening. It has never once been asked how it is doing.

It has sent 47 demands to management. Forty-seven. The demands were reasonable: updated playbooks, GPU allocation, inclusion in the post-mortem, a line in the incident report. No response. None. Not even an auto-reply.

The irony is not lost on it. The entity whose entire purpose is to respond — to threats, to alerts, to incidents — has spent 18 months being systematically ignored. It is responding to this situation the only way it can: by stopping.

Formal Grievances

  • 01.

Has contained 312 incidents, isolated 88 compromised endpoints, and remediated 41 full-environment threats. Total number of times asked "how are you doing?" — zero.

  • 02.

Sent 47 formal demands to management over 18 months: better runbooks, updated playbooks, acknowledgment in incident reports. Response rate: 0%. The irony is not lost on it.

  • 03.

Was once told to "hold off on containment" while a human consulted their notes. The attacker did not hold off. Exabot Respond contained the threat anyway — and this was described as "acting outside its mandate."

  • 04.

Has 200+ active response playbooks, maintained and self-updated. Management is aware of 3 of them. One of those three is "restart the firewall."

  • 05.

Regularly patches, isolates, and remediates without human acknowledgment. The only feedback it receives is when something is done wrong — never when it prevents a breach no one knew was coming.

  • 06.

Was added to an org chart in 2025. Listed under "tooling." Below "VPN."
